Chris Hetherington: From QB to Fullback to CEO
Chris Hetherington played quarterback at Yale University, where he earned a B.S. in Psychology and also played baseball, before launching an 11-year NFL career that included time with the Colts, Panthers, Rams, Raiders, and 49ers. Originally an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals, Chris converted to fullback and special teams, and built a reputation for toughness, adaptability, and team-first leadership.
After football, Hetherington turned those same qualities toward business and entrepreneurship, “attending the Business Management and Entrepreneurship Programs at Harvard Business School & Wharton School of Business, and achieving success as an experienced executive (4x CEO), board member, entrepreneur, consultant, investor, and mentor.” LinkedIn profile
In 2024, he led a group of former athletes in acquiring Fathead, the company known for its life-sized wall graphics of sports icons. He now aims to reposition the brand as a platform for creativity, partnerships, and fan connection.

Get to the Outside…to Nature, That is
Lifelong QBs, like all human beings, need to focus on their mental health. Getting outside is a great way to do that. Spending time walking outdoors isn’t just good for physical fitness — it measurably improves mental health. Regular walking lowers anxiety and depression, and doing it in natural environments amplifies those effects.
Research shows that being in nature calms the parts of the brain linked to stress and vigilance, leading to lower blood pressure, reduced heart rate, and improved emotional balance. Even a 10-minute walk in a park or green space can provide benefits, helping anyone — not just those with anxiety or depression — feel calmer, clearer, and more focused.

Lead With Empathy
Empathy is the ability to understand and appreciate another person's feelings and experience. It is sometimes considered a “soft skill.” But there is nothing soft about it.
Empathy is a key leadership strength. Empathetic leaders build trust, boost engagement, and foster teamwork. They balance compassion with accountability to drive better results.
